MEET YOUR DJ
CHRIS CHAMBERLIN

I have been in the game a long time… I grew up on the West Coast where I started DJing in 2000 when I was introduced to the art of Turntablism by a friend. You know, back when us Dj’s used real vinyl? The moment I got my hands on those decks I was hooked! I knew this was an art I just had to master. In 2006 I hit the club scene of San Diego, California and within 6 months was booked 5 nights a week. DJing was and still is my passion and to get to do something I love so much and get paid is a dream come true.
A wedding is its own special type of gig. We as DJ’s have to wear many hats. From helping the client through the planning process, to MCing the evening, to doing what we do best which is rocking dance floors. It really takes someone who knows what they are doing. Let’s face it, anyone can make announcements and play music these days but I believe there is an art to what a good DJ brings to the decks. Let me explain… Not only are we mixing seamlessly from track to track while interweaving your favorite music. We’ve also cultivated an awareness and ability to quickly adapt when necessary, the skill of reading the dance floor cannot be taught. It’s something that takes many years of experience and practice.
It is said that for one to truly “master” a skill set it takes 10,000 hours of practice. After all these years I can 100% confirm the skillset has been officially mastered. That being said, the best thing about DJing and music in general, is that there is always something new to learn. My insatiable hunger to be better today than I was yesterday is what makes me stand out in a world full of DJ’s.
With over 18 years of professional DJ experience and 500+ weddings under my belt I look forward to chatting with you about your big day.
